Baustelle, für mich ist das viel Erinnerung. An den nassen Betongeruch, der Rohbauduft, erdig, sandig und kalk. Es sind die Klänge, der Hammer auf Metall, das Zischen der Kelle im Mörtel und natürlich die kindlichen Touren in den Baustellen, verboten und deswegen reizvoll.

Construction site, that's a lot of memories for me. The wet smell of concrete, the smell of building work, earthy, sandy and lime. It's the sounds, the hammer on metal, the hissing of the trowel in the mortar and of course the childish tours in the construction sites, forbidden and therefore attractive.

The weekly

Was für eine verrückte Welt gerade. Wir alle müssen jetzt Abstand halten und unbedingt solidarisch sein. Dann werden wir die kommenden Wochen, im schlimmsten Fall Monate gut überstehen und uns dann in die Arme fallen und eine große Party feiern.

Ab der nächsten Wochen gehe ich mit dem Diary auf Reisen, ich grabe in meinem akustischen Tagebuch und hole meine schönsten Einträge für Euch hervor, um aus dem Home Office zumindest 90 Sekunden eine akustische Oase zu machen.

Des Kaisers ist dead, die Kultur lebt. In Skorzelec wurde die Ruhmeshalle für einen Kaiser in ein Kulturhaus umgewandelt. Die überdauert jede Herrschaftsform, es lebe die Kunst. Ganz nebenbei hat das Gebäude einen Klang, der die Wichtigkeit der Kultur unterstreicht - raumhaft, gesetzt und wer lauscht, der hört doch quirliges.

The Emperor is dead, the culture lives. In Skorzelec the Hall of Fame for an emperor was converted into a house of culture. It outlasts every form of rule, long live art. Görlitz, Altbauten, an denen die Zeit nagt, leere Augen die Fenster, Putz fällt, die Blütezeit längst vergangen. BauarbeiterInnen wie KosmetikerInnen arbeiten sie die alte Zeit auf, ich wünschte, sie tragen nicht so viel Rouge auf, so dass die schillernde Epoche noch durchscheint.

Görlitz, old buildings, where time gnaws, empty eyes the windows, plaster falls, the heyday is long gone. Construction workers and beauticians are working through the old times, I wish they didn't apply so much rouge, so that the shimmering epoch still shines through.
